An AI SDR tool does the repetitive front half of outbound for you: it finds prospects, writes the first message, follows up and, in some products, books the meeting. The category is crowded and the pricing models barely overlap, so a "best" list that only ranks logos does not help a sales leader much.

This guide compares 7 AI SDR and AI outbound tools using what each vendor publishes on its own site, checked on 2026-11-06. It covers what each tool does, how it charges, who it fits and where it falls short, then gives a short decision framework. We have not run these tools ourselves, and the methodology section says exactly what that means.

Best AI SDR tools: a brief overview

  • 11x is best for enterprise teams that want inbound, outbound and expansion agents on one shared context layer. No public pricing, demo required.
  • Artisan is best for teams that want one platform with data, sequencing and an AI BDR (Ava) bundled. Credit-based pricing, with no dollar amounts confirmed.
  • AiSDR is best for small teams that want to start with a card and pay per prospect. Published at $1.50 per person prospected.
  • Salesforge is best for email and LinkedIn volume with flat, published prices. Plans start at $40 per month, and the Agent Frank AI SDR is $499 per month.
  • Amplemarket is best for teams that want a large contact database and AI assistants in the same tool. Startup plan is $600 per month on an annual term.
  • Regie.ai is best for individual sellers and small teams who want a cheap, credit-based start with a built-in CRM and dialer. Pro is $41 per month billed annually ($49 billed monthly).
  • Apollo is best for teams that already need a contact database and sequencing, with AI features on the Professional plan. We list no Apollo prices because we could not confirm them (see section 7).

Source: each vendor's pricing page, checked 2026-11-06. Left out because we could not confirm a monthly list price: 11x, Artisan, AiSDR ($1.50 per person prospected) and Apollo. The plans are not equivalent. Pro tiers are tools, Agent Frank is an AI SDR.

Key takeaways

  • AiSDR and Salesforge are the only two with a clear self-serve entry point and published prices for the AI SDR itself ($1.50 per person prospected, and $499 per month for Agent Frank).
  • 11x publishes no price, and Artisan shows credit-based tiers without confirmed dollar amounts. Expect a sales call for both.
  • Amplemarket and Regie.ai are platforms with AI layered on top, not pure AI SDRs. Amplemarket's page does not name a product called an AI SDR.

1. 11x, best for enterprise teams running inbound, outbound and expansion

11x sells AI agents for revenue teams, split into three use cases: inbound, outbound and expansion. On its site, Alice is linked to outbound plays such as lead nurture and outbound lead generation, and Julian to inbound and expansion plays such as speed to lead and customer expansion. The page does not define either one as an "AI SDR".

The agents share one context layer built from your CRM, knowledge base, website activity, past 11x conversations and third-party signals such as funding, hiring and tech stack.

Key features

  • Alice is linked to outbound plays such as lead nurture, lead reactivation and outbound lead generation
  • Julian is linked to inbound plays such as speed to lead and automated meeting scheduling, and to customer onboarding and expansion
  • Channels: voice, chat, email, social, SMS and WhatsApp, plus a human dialer
  • Integrations: HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, LinkedIn, G2, Slack, Gmail, Outlook, Google Calendar

Best for

  • Revenue teams that want one vendor across inbound speed-to-lead and outbound
  • Teams with a CRM already in place to feed the context layer

Pricing

  • No pricing published. The only call to action is "Book a Demo"

Pros

  • Covers inbound and expansion, which most tools in this list do not
  • Voice and WhatsApp coverage

Cons

  • No price visibility before a sales call
  • Broad scope means more setup than an email-only tool

Does not fit teams that want to test AI outbound for a few hundred dollars first.

2. Artisan, best for one bundled platform with data and an AI BDR

Artisan's Ava is described on its site as an autonomous AI business development rep that "runs outbound end to end": it finds and enriches B2B leads, writes and sends personalized outreach, handles replies and books meetings. Artisan bundles data, enrichment, deliverability, sequencing and intent signals into one platform.

Key features

  • Access to a database the vendor describes as 250M+ verified contacts
  • Outbound email campaigns sent from your own domains, plus a dialer
  • Human-in-the-loop controls: approvals, tone and CTA locks, escalation rules
  • SOC 2 Type II, SSO/SAML and audit logs

Best for

  • Teams that would rather buy data and the AI rep as one product than stitch tools together
  • Buyers who need enterprise security documentation

Pricing

  • Credit-based, with tiers from startups to enterprise
  • The pricing page we fetched showed no dollar amounts or contract terms

Pros

  • Data, sequencing and AI in one place cuts the number of vendors
  • Approval and escalation controls

Cons

  • Pricing is hard to compare without talking to sales
  • Bundled data means you accept their database as your source

Does not fit teams that already pay for a data tool such as Clay or Apollo and only want an AI writer and sender.

3. AiSDR, best for small teams that want to pay per prospect

AiSDR's FAQ describes omnichannel outreach over email, phone and LinkedIn. It handles replies, including objections and rejections, and books a meeting only once a prospect is qualified. Teams can switch replies to co-pilot mode and approve messages before they send.

Key features

  • Email, phone and LinkedIn sequences, with call tasks for your team
  • Co-pilot mode so a human approves replies
  • HubSpot and Salesforce sync, Aircall for calls
  • Setup in under one business day per the pricing page

Best for

  • Small outbound teams that want usage-based pricing
  • Teams that want to start without a sales call (sign-up needs no credit card)

Pricing

  • Pay as you go: $1.50 per person prospected, billed daily, cancel anytime
  • Team plans for 1,000+ contacts a month are priced on volume, with up to 40% lower cost per contact, billed monthly on quarterly contracts. Annual plans get 20% off versus quarterly
  • Add-ons: warmed-up mailbox $33, managed service $149 per campaign or $2,500 per month
  • The FAQ says campaigns start from $7.50 and also "as little as from $3". The page does not reconcile the two figures

Pros

  • Rare to see a per-prospect price on the page
  • Co-pilot mode keeps a human in the loop

Cons

  • Cost scales with volume, so a large list gets expensive
  • Vendor claims such as 1 to 3 qualified meetings per 100 leads are the vendor's own and we did not verify them

Does not fit high-volume teams who want a flat monthly price.

4. Salesforge, best for email and LinkedIn volume at flat prices

Salesforge runs email and LinkedIn campaigns from one dashboard. It includes unlimited mailboxes and workspaces on both plans, and free warm-up through Warmforge. Agent Frank is its AI SDR: it finds prospects, writes outreach, follows up and books meetings.

Key features

  • Pro plan: 1,000 active contacts in sequence, 5,000 emails per month, 1 user, 1 LinkedIn sender
  • Growth plan: 10,000 active contacts, 50,000 emails per month, unlimited users and LinkedIn senders
  • Multi-language messages
  • Agent Frank: Auto-Pilot and Co-Pilot modes, 20+ languages, dedicated account manager, shared Slack channel

Best for

  • Teams sending email at volume who want to see the price before signing up
  • Teams in several languages

Pricing

  • Pro $40 per month, Growth $80 per month (the page header says "Starting at $48/mo", which does not match; we use the plan figures)
  • 14-day free trial per the FAQ
  • Agent Frank $499 per month billed quarterly, with a per-contact rate of $0.25 at 2,000+ contacts a month. You must book a demo first
  • Domains and mailboxes are bought separately

Pros

  • Published limits for every plan
  • No contract required on the core plans per the FAQ

Cons

  • Email infrastructure cost sits outside the plan price
  • Agent Frank is gated behind a demo

Does not fit teams that need voice or phone outreach, which the pages we fetched do not mention.

5. Amplemarket, best for a database plus AI assistants in one tool

Amplemarket describes itself as an all-in-one sales platform with AI agents, B2B data, multichannel sequences and parallel dialing. Its Duo suite includes Copilot, Accounts, Copywriter, Voice and Inbox. The page cites 200M+ verified contacts.

Key features

  • Intent signals, job change alerts and competitive intelligence
  • Multichannel sequences and a parallel dialer
  • Deliverability tools such as a domain health center and spam checker
  • MCP and integrations

Best for

  • Teams that want contact data, signals and sending in one login

Pricing

  • Startup $600 per month on an annual term, 2 users, 27,000 contacts
  • Growth and Elite are custom (4 and 10 users respectively)
  • All plans include a free trial

Pros

  • Data, signals and sequencing under one contract
  • Free trial on all plans

Cons

  • Starts well above the cheaper tools here
  • The pricing page does not describe a product named "Duo AI SDR", and Duo Voice and Duo Inbox sit on higher tiers or add-ons

Does not fit very small teams or a budget under a few hundred dollars a month.

6. Regie.ai, best for a cheap, credit-based start with a built-in CRM

Regie.ai's pricing page presents RegieGO with credits that cover research, drafting, enrichment and dialing. A CRM is included free on every plan, and HubSpot or Salesforce can be connected.

Key features

  • Free plan with 250 one-time credits per person
  • Pro: 5,000 credits a month plus a parallel dialer
  • Team: 15,000 credits per seat a month, shared pool, two-seat minimum
  • Enterprise: custom CRM sync, advanced analytics, dedicated account manager, SOC 2

Best for

  • Individual sellers and small teams filling pipeline themselves

Pricing

  • Free $0. Pro is $41 per month billed annually or $49 billed monthly. Team is $125 per seat per month billed annually or $150 billed monthly. Enterprise is custom
  • Annual billing saves about 17%
  • Credits reset each billing period and do not roll over

Pros

  • Low entry price and a free tier
  • Self-serve, cancel anytime on Pro and Team

Cons

  • The pages we fetched did not name an autonomous AI SDR product
  • Unused credits expire

Does not fit buyers who want a fully autonomous agent that books meetings without rep involvement.

7. Apollo, best for teams that need contact data and sequences first

Apollo is a data and sequencing platform. Its plans are Free, Basic, Professional and Custom. Sequencing starts on Basic. AI features, call recording and advanced CRM integrations are listed under Professional. Credits are pooled across the team and reset each billing cycle.

Key features

  • Free plan with no time limit (Gmail only for email)
  • Email sequencing from Basic
  • AI features on Professional

Best for

  • Teams that need a database and a sequencer before they need an autonomous agent

Pricing

  • Free tier available
  • We could not confirm per-user prices for the paid plans, so we list none. The page says annual billing is discounted. Check apollo.io/pricing for current figures

Pros

  • Free plan to test the data
  • Credits pooled across the team

Cons

  • Credits do not roll over
  • The page does not describe an autonomous AI SDR

Does not fit teams that expect the tool to run replies and book meetings by itself.

How we ranked these AI SDR tools

We ordered the list by how closely each product matches an AI SDR (an agent that prospects, writes, follows up and books), then by how much pricing the vendor publishes. Every fact comes from the vendor's own site, fetched on 2026-11-06. We cite vendor claims as vendor claims.

No hands-on testing is claimed. We did not run these tools on live campaigns, and we do not cite third-party review scores. If a price, limit or feature was not on the page we fetched, we left it out.

Build a custom agent

1) Buy a packaged agent or build your own

A packaged tool is faster. A custom agent wins when your routing rules, CRM fields or compliance needs do not fit a vendor's defaults. We lay out the trade-off in our guide to AI SDR development: build a custom agent vs buy a tool. For the wider tool landscape, see our AI sales automation tools roundup.

2) Check what the price actually buys

Compare units, not headlines. $1.50 per person prospected (AiSDR), $499 per month (Agent Frank), $600 per month (Amplemarket Startup) and a credit pool (Regie.ai, Apollo) are not the same thing. Multiply by your monthly prospect volume and add domains, mailboxes and data.

3) Decide how much autonomy you accept

Some tools let a human approve every reply (AiSDR co-pilot mode, Agent Frank Co-Pilot). Start there. Message quality is the usual failure point, so read our notes on AI cold email personalization and what AI sales agents do well before switching to autopilot.

4) Run a two-week pilot on one segment

Pick one segment and one metric: replies, meetings booked or cost per meeting. Keep your CRM as the system of record and log every send.

If none of these fit your stack, AY Automate builds custom AI agents wired into your CRM and internal data, including lead routing and follow-ups, through AI automation. Teams that want help setting up the system around the tool can read how GTM engineering agencies work, or book a consultation to map your pipeline. You can also browse the AI SDR agents directory.

FAQ

What is an AI SDR tool?

An AI SDR tool automates the work of a sales development rep: finding prospects, writing and sending outreach, handling replies and, in some products, booking meetings. Products differ in how much they do on their own. Some, like Agent Frank and Ava, describe an autonomous agent. Others are sequencers with AI writing help.

What is the best AI SDR tool?

It depends on volume, budget and channel. Salesforge and AiSDR publish prices and suit small tests. 11x and Artisan are sales-led platforms. Amplemarket and Apollo fit teams that also need contact data.

How much do AI SDR tools cost?

Published prices in this guide run from $40 per month (Salesforge Pro) and $41 per month billed annually (Regie.ai Pro, $49 billed monthly) to $499 per month (Agent Frank) and $600 per month (Amplemarket Startup). AiSDR charges $1.50 per person prospected. 11x and Artisan did not show dollar prices on the pages we fetched, and we could not confirm Apollo's paid prices. Domains, mailboxes and data often cost extra.

Is there a free AI SDR tool?

Regie.ai has a free plan with 250 one-time credits per person. Apollo has a free plan with no time limit. Salesforge and Amplemarket offer free trials. None of these is a free autonomous AI SDR for production volume.

Can an AI SDR replace a human SDR?

Not fully, in our reading of the vendor pages. AiSDR says a human takes over sales conversations when needed, and several tools ship approval modes. Treat an AI SDR as a way to cover first touches and follow-up while reps handle live conversations.

Should I build a custom AI SDR instead of buying one?

Buy first if your process is standard and you want to test fast. Build when you need custom qualification logic, deep CRM writes or data that cannot leave your stack. Our AI SDR development guide covers the decision in more detail.

What should I check before signing an AI SDR contract?

Ask what a contact or credit costs at your volume, whether domains and mailboxes are included, how replies are approved, how data syncs to your CRM and what the cancellation terms are. Several vendors above bill quarterly or annually.
