Salesforce Implementation Built Around Your Sales Process

A Salesforce implementation consultant configures the platform, moves your data and builds the automation, so the CRM reflects how deals really move. That is the whole job. Most failed rollouts skip the second half: the objects get created, nobody maps the process, and six months later reps keep their real pipeline in a spreadsheet.

We start from one deal traced from first touch to closed-won, then design the objects, fields, stages and automation around it. On top of the CRM we build the parts most implementations leave out: enrichment that fills accounts, signals that create tasks, and AI research waiting on the record before a call. One of our clients now has agents doing pre-call research, CRM updates and lead scoring automatically.

Why Salesforce Rollouts Stall After Go-Live

Salesforce can model almost any sales process. That flexibility is the reason so many orgs end up cluttered, slow and ignored by the people who were supposed to use them.

Configured, but not adopted

Fields nobody fills, stages nobody trusts, and reps who update the CRM on Friday afternoon from memory. Adoption fails when Salesforce asks for data entry and gives nothing back. We cut the required fields and automate the rest.

Dirty data migrated as-is

Duplicates, dead contacts and free-text picklists move over from the old CRM and poison every report on day one. We clean, deduplicate and map data before it lands, and test the import on a sandbox first.

Automation sprawl nobody owns

Old Workflow Rules, Process Builders and overlapping Flows fire in an order no one remembers. Salesforce has ended support for the older tools in favor of Flow, so we consolidate logic into documented Flows with error handling.

What Our Salesforce Consultants Build

Implementation, migration and automation in one team, so the CRM and the workflows around it are designed together.

Sales Cloud Implementation

Objects, fields, page layouts, record types, stages, roles and sharing rules designed around your real sales process, plus the dashboards your leadership actually opens.

Data Migration and Cleanup

Mapping, deduplication and validation from HubSpot, Pipedrive, Zoho, spreadsheets or an older Salesforce org, tested in a sandbox and reconciled record by record after cutover.

Flow and Apex Automation

Lead routing, assignment, approvals, renewal reminders and stage-based tasks in Flow, with Apex only where Flow cannot do the job. Every automation is documented and has an owner.

Integrations, Enrichment and AI

Salesforce connected to Clay, outbound tools, billing and support through APIs and n8n, with Claude-powered research and scoring writing back to the record, every write logged.

Our Salesforce Implementation Methodology

Four phases, each with a deliverable you can review before the next one starts. The timeline is set in the audit, not guessed upfront.

// 1 - Audit
Trace one deal end to end, review the current org or CRM, list every manual step
Deliverable:

Process map and a prioritized gap list

// 2 - Design
Objects, fields, stages, permissions, migration map and automation plan
Deliverable:

Solution design you sign off before build

// 3 - Build & Migrate
Configure in a sandbox, migrate test data, build Flows and integrations, train users
Deliverable:

Live org with clean data and working automation

// 4 - Run
Admin support, new automation, release updates and adoption tracking
Deliverable:

Monthly backlog and a CRM that keeps up with the team

Four-phase Salesforce engagement: audit, design, build, run

Why Work With Independent Salesforce Consultants?

You need someone who knows Salesforce well and also builds the GTM systems around it. Most teams end up hiring two vendors for that. We are one.

CRM and automation in one teamThe people who design your objects also build the enrichment, routing and outbound flows that write to them, so nothing gets lost between two vendors.
We build GTM systems for a livingSignals, enrichment, CRM hygiene and outbound are our daily work. For one client, site visitor signals now flow straight into outbound targeting with no manual step.
Honest about fitIf Salesforce is more than you need, we say so on the first call and point you to a lighter CRM. A smaller team on HubSpot or Pipedrive is often the better call.
You own itEvery Flow, field and integration is documented in your org. No lock-in, no black-box managed package, and an admin can take over at any time.

FAQ

Salesforce Consulting Questions

What does a Salesforce implementation consultant do?+

A Salesforce implementation consultant configures the platform to match your sales process, migrates your data from the old system and builds the automation, reports and integrations around it. Good ones also train your team and stay on after go-live, because most adoption problems show up in the first three months.

Do I need a Salesforce implementation partner, or will a consultant do?+

It depends on scope. Large multi-cloud programs with license negotiation often go through a firm from Salesforce's Partner Finder. A Sales Cloud rollout, a migration or an automation project for a B2B team is usually faster with a small senior team. What matters more than the label is whether they map your process before configuring anything.

How much does it cost to hire Salesforce consultants?+

A single focused workflow starts in the low four figures. A full implementation or a multi-tool system is a custom quote after a discovery call, because cost follows the number of users, objects, integrations and how much data has to move. If you want one engineer on it full time, an embedded GTM engineer starts from $60,000/year.

How long does a Salesforce implementation take?+

A focused Sales Cloud setup for one team is weeks, not months. Migrations with years of messy data, several integrations or multiple business units take longer. We set the timeline in the audit, after we have seen your data and your process, and we do not quote one before that.

What does Salesforce automation do?+

Salesforce automation removes repetitive work from the sales process: routing leads, creating follow-up tasks, updating fields when a stage changes, sending approvals and alerts. Done well, reps spend less time on data entry and the CRM stays accurate without anyone chasing them.

What are the types of automation in Salesforce?+

Today the main tool is Flow, which covers record-triggered, scheduled and screen-based automation. Apex code handles logic Flow cannot express. Salesforce has ended support for Workflow Rules and Process Builder, so older orgs should migrate that logic into Flow. Outside the platform, tools like n8n handle cross-system workflows.

Can you give examples of Salesforce automation you build?+

Lead assignment by territory and capacity, enrichment that fills firmographics when a lead is created, tasks generated from buying signals, renewal reminders, deal-desk approvals, and AI research written onto the account before a call. One client now has agents handling pre-call research, CRM updates and lead scoring.

What is the difference between a CRM and sales force automation?+

A CRM stores your customer and deal data. Sales force automation is the set of rules and workflows that act on that data for you, such as routing, reminders and updates. Salesforce does both, but the automation only helps if someone designs it around your process.

Do you offer Salesforce managed services after go-live?+

Yes. After launch we can run admin support, user changes, new Flows, release-readiness checks and integration fixes as a monthly backlog. You get a named engineer who knows your org, not a ticket queue.

Can you migrate us from HubSpot, Pipedrive or Zoho to Salesforce?+

Yes. We map every object and field, clean and deduplicate the data, run a test import in a sandbox, then cut over and reconcile counts. We also rebuild the automations from the old CRM so nothing silently stops working.

Can you fix an existing Salesforce org instead of starting over?+

Usually, yes. We audit fields, automations, permissions and reports, remove what nobody uses, consolidate overlapping automation into documented Flows, and fix the data. Starting over is rarely needed and we only suggest it when the audit shows it is cheaper.

Can you connect Salesforce to Clay, outbound tools and AI?+

Yes, that is the part we specialize in. We connect Salesforce to enrichment, email and LinkedIn outreach, billing and support tools through their APIs or n8n, and add AI steps for research, scoring and drafting. Every write back to Salesforce is validated and logged.

Is Salesforce the right CRM for a small team?+

Often not. Salesforce shines when you need complex permissions, many teams or heavy customization. A team of five sellers is usually better served by HubSpot, Pipedrive or Attio, with less admin overhead. We tell you this on the first call.

Who are the best Salesforce consulting firms?+

It depends on what you need: global system integrators for multi-cloud enterprise programs, specialist boutiques for one cloud or one industry, and smaller teams for fast Sales Cloud and automation work. We compare the options honestly in our guide to the best Salesforce consulting firms.
