Website Visitor Outreach Workflow: Same-Day, Page-Specific
A visit to your pricing page from someone who does not sign up is a raised hand that usually goes unnoticed. Website visitor identification tools match a visit to a company, and sometimes to a person, so you can respond while the interest is fresh. This workflow takes those matches, filters out noise like competitors, students and existing customers, scores what is left against your ICP, and sends a short message the same day that references the page they actually looked at. Company-level matches are the reliable part; the named person is a probabilistic guess, so the workflow is built to treat it that way.
Typical timeline
2-4 weeks once the identification tool is installed; longer if new sending domains need to warm up
Stack
RB2B or Koala for visitor identification · Clay for enrichment and email verification · n8n for scoring, routing and the CRM check · HeyReach for LinkedIn messages · Instantly for email · Your CRM as the system of record
What we need to start
- · Your site, with the pages that signal buying intent (pricing, product, comparison, integrations)
- · ICP criteria: seniority, company size, markets, and who to exclude
- · A visitor identification tool installed on the site, or our help choosing one
- · LinkedIn sender accounts and email sending domains for outreach
How it works
- 01
Mark the pages that mean intent
Not every visit is a signal. A blog read is curiosity; a pricing page visit, a second visit in the same week, or several minutes on one feature page is closer to buying. We tag the pages and behaviours that count, and ignore the rest.
- 02
Identify the visit
The identification tool matches the visit to a company, and where it can, to a LinkedIn profile. We treat the company as the reliable fact and the person as a lead to verify, because a person-level match is a probabilistic guess, not a certainty.
Tools: RB2B, Koala
- 03
Score and filter
Each match is scored against your real criteria: seniority, company size, active hiring, market. Competitors, researchers, students and existing customers are filtered out, and anyone already in an open deal goes to the account owner instead of a sequence.
Tools: n8n, Clay
- 04
Message the same day
Cleared contacts get a short message within hours of the visit, on LinkedIn or email depending on what we could verify. The message references the topic of the page they viewed, without quoting their browsing back at them, and offers something useful for that topic.
Tools: HeyReach, Instantly
- 05
Log it and learn
Every identified visit, score, message and reply is written to the CRM. Each week we look at which pages and which score bands led to replies and adjust the thresholds.
Tools: n8n
- ✓ Visitor identification wired to scoring and routing
- ✓ ICP filters and exclusion lists for competitors and customers
- ✓ Same-day LinkedIn and email sequences per intent page
- ✓ CRM logging and a weekly page and score report
- · Your site gets little B2B traffic; there will not be enough identified visits to justify the tooling
- · You sell mainly to consumers; company-level identification does not help you
- · Your legal team has not reviewed visitor identification for your markets; privacy rules differ by region, so check before installing
Frequently asked
How accurate is website visitor identification?
Company-level matching is the reliable part. Matching the visit to a named person is a probabilistic guess. That is why the workflow verifies the person before messaging and phrases outreach around the company's interest in a topic rather than claiming to know who visited.
Is it creepy to message someone who just visited my site?
It can be, if the message says 'I saw you on our pricing page'. We do not write that. The message speaks to the topic of the page and offers something useful, the way a well-timed note from a peer would.
Why same day?
Because interest fades. A message that arrives while the person is still weighing options is relevant; the same message two weeks later is just another cold email.
Does this replace inbound forms?
No. Form fills still go through your normal lead qualification. This covers the much larger group who look and leave without filling anything in.
